Playing in the "sand" and crafts.

Well, I'm finally getting to touch actual airplane parts! I'm not complaining, mind you.  When you volunteer to come and do whatever you can that is helpful (and try to stay out of the way) you get to do what they think is helpful, not what you may want to do. So I was checked out on the bead blaster - like a sand blaster, but not as aggressive. It uses glass beads that won't destroy the lightweight aluminum used for aircraft parts.

This is an instrument panel that is being stripped for painting to refurbish the Bell Long Ranger helicopter. You close the lid, put on the gloves, grab the nozzle and blast away. How cool is that! And I didn't even have to pay to do it.    :-)

Dottyanne is doing a large animal unit with her three-year-olds. Can you tell?  These are lion masks.

Altogether now:
"The lion is the king of the jungle.
The whale is the king of the sea.
Jesus is the King of the universe
and He's the King of me!"
